Community & Employees

Employee Welfare and Community Empowerment

We are committed to prioritizing employee welfare by creating a safe, discrimination-free, inclusive work environment and implementing the best occupational health and safety practices. We also carry out social innovation programs aimed at creating social value and shared value for stakeholders through four pillars of development, namely the social development pillar (covering SDGs 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5), the economic development pillar (covering SDGs 7, 8, 9, 10, and 17), the environmental development pillar (covering SDGs 6, 11, 12, 13, 14, and 15), and the legal and governance development pillar (covering SDG 16). This is in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):

• SDG 1: No poverty
• SDG 3: Good health and well-being
• SDG 4: Quality education
• SDG 5: Gender equality
• SDG 6: Clean water and sanitation
• SDG 10: Reduced inequalities
• SDG 17: Partnerships for achieving goals

Working Together to Build Society

To provide a safe working environment that supports productivity, we ensure the implementation of occupational health and safety standards in all business units with a zero fatality target. In supporting community development, we target more than two million people to directly benefit from social investment programs and two cement factories to receive a “Co-Ownership Acceptance” rating based on the Social License Index measurement.

In terms of education, we have initiated a vocational education program (EVE) that has been running since 2005. EVE is a 3-year education scholarship for each batch, with a polytechnic curriculum to obtain a Diploma III (D3) degree in Mechanical Engineering with a concentration in Cement Industry Engineering from the Jakarta State Polytechnic (PNJ).
