The awards, presented by Top Business Magazine, recognize the company’s consistency in integrating sustainability principles into its business operations. This achievement further affirms Solusi Bangun Indonesia’s position as a company that places sustainability at the core of its long-term growth strategy.

The company received the “Top Leader on CSR Commitment” award for Asri Mukhtar, President Director of PT Solusi Bangun Indonesia Tbk, and Soni Asrul Sani, President Director of PT Solusi Bangun Andalas. In addition, Solusi Bangun Indonesia earned two “Top CSR # Star 4” awards for its flagship CSR programs at its Tuban Plant in East Java and Lhoknga Plant in Aceh, operated by its subsidiary PT Solusi Bangun Andalas. The Top CSR Awards honor companies that have implemented impactful, systematic, and business-integrated CSR initiatives.

Asri Mukhtar, President Director of Solusi Bangun Indonesia, stated that the company’s sustainability approach goes beyond compliance and forms an essential part of its long-term business strategy. “We believe that environmental conservation and community empowerment are not just social responsibilities but also competitive advantages that strengthen our position as a strategic partner in sustainable development,” added Asri Mukhtar.

From Clean Water Access to Coastal Ecosystem Restoration

As a tangible commitment to community empowerment and sustainable environmental management, the Tuban Plant initiated the flagship program “Mliwang Metubanyune” in Mliwang Village, Kerek Subdistrict. This region suffers from limited access to clean water due to clay-dominated geological conditions with low water absorption rates. The scarcity affects the quality of life for 2,391 residents and reduces agricultural productivity.

To address this challenge, the Tuban Plant utilized a rainwater catchment reservoir equipped with a 27 m³ water tank and a distribution pipeline system that channels water for household and agricultural use. This program not only ensures water availability but also encourages agricultural diversification through melon, catfish, and vegetable cultivation in greenhouse systems to improve nutrition and food security. Farmers can now harvest rice up to three times a year, increasing agricultural revenues and forming farmer groups as centers for education and knowledge transfer. The availability of clean water also significantly contributes to daily life and stunting prevention efforts in the area.

Sustainability commitments at Solusi Bangun Indonesia are also demonstrated at the Lhoknga Plant in Aceh Besar, operated by PT Solusi Bangun Andalas. The coastal area of Lampuuk, known for its beautiful beaches, faces serious threats from plastic waste pollution, endangering the environment and affecting tourist comfort. Through the program “Solusi Bersama Jaga Ekosistem Pesisir dan Laut Bebas Sampah (Sobat Si Abes),” Solusi Bangun Andalas collaborates with the community to clean up plastic waste along Lampuuk Beach and repurpose young coconut waste into cocofiber as a filtration medium for wastewater from beach vendors.

Beyond environmental aspects, the Lhoknga Plant supports community economic growth through MSME training, development of coastal-themed Acehnese batik, as well as food security and community-based sanitation programs.
