Jakarta, April 14, 2023 – The increasing activities of the community in Indonesia, especially in DKI Jakarta, following the lifting of COVID-19 pandemic restrictions, signal the growth of economic activity in 2023. To support daily mobilization and transportation needs, the Jakarta Provincial Government continues to innovate to provide adequate infrastructure, including the construction of new roads and the repair of existing roads in poor condition.

Acting Head of the Jakarta Provincial Public Works Agency (Dinas Bina Marga), Heru Suwondo, outlined the Work Plan for 2023, which includes roads, bridges, pedestrian lanes, street lighting, public facilities, and pedestrian crossings at Bundaran HI, Central Jakarta, on Friday (4/14). The event was attended by Lilik Unggul Raharjo, CEO of PT Solusi Bangun Indonesia Tbk (SBI), who is one of the partners in the infrastructure development activities of the Jakarta Provincial Public Works Agency.

“SBI has created many solutions, one of which is the rapid-setting concrete SpeedCrete. PT Pendawa Lestari Perkasa (PLP), a subsidiary of SBI, has carried out the TransJakarta Bus Corridor 1-14 road improvement works using SpeedCrete, which can be ready for use just 8 hours after application,” explained Heru Suwondo during his presentation.

Meanwhile, Lilik Unggul Raharjo, CEO of SBI, emphasized that as part of SIG, SBI continues to develop innovations based on sustainable principles, aiming to deliver high-quality and environmentally friendly solutions. “The application of SpeedCrete on the TransJakarta route is not the first time. The trust from local governments strengthens our commitment to adding value with this innovative solution. In addition to its application speed, which helps reduce carbon emissions due to traffic congestion and road closures, SpeedCrete also uses environmentally friendly raw materials certified with Green Label,” Lilik explained.

PLP has been officially appointed by the Jakarta Provincial Public Works Agency to carry out infrastructure repair works on the TransJakarta route, including traffic management, short-term lane closures for repairs, demolition, waste disposal, casting, and reopening of the repaired road.

Optimizing local materials and resources with a realization of the Domestic Component Level (TKDN) for work with the Jakarta Provincial Public Works Agency, the Rapid-Setting Concrete (SpeedCrete) work on Pakin Paket 1 Road in 2022 achieved a post-audit value by Sucofindo of 67.14%. This aligns with the government’s call for increased use of domestic products (P3DN).

Innovative Rapid Drying Concrete Solution

SpeedCrete offers several drying speed levels that can be adjusted based on traffic density in an area, ranging from 4 hours, 6 hours, 8 hours, 10 hours, to 12 hours. In addition to the TransJakarta bus lanes, SpeedCrete has also been applied on several toll road sections in the Jabodetabek area, Bakauheni – Terbanggi toll road, Surabaya – Mojokerto toll road, and Surabaya – Gempol toll road.

SpeedCrete serves as an innovative pavement solution that significantly reduces traffic congestion impact, especially in urban areas with high traffic density like Jakarta.
