Aceh (12/21) – While thousands of Aceh residents are still struggling to clean up the mud left behind by floods and landslides, PT Solusi Bangun Andalas (“Solusi Bangun Andalas/Company”) and the Andalas Cement Workers Union (SPSA) continue to distribute disaster relief aid to several areas in Aceh Tamiang, East Aceh, North Aceh, Central Aceh, Takengon, Lhokseumawe, Pidie, Bireuen, and Langsa City. The aid was provided in the form of basic food supplies, baby milk, clean water, hygiene kits, generators, water pumps, water towers, prayer mats, and the Quran.
General Manager of Solusi Bangun Andalas, R. Adi Santosa, expressed his deep concern for the disaster and the affected residents. “Every item of aid we bring is not just a commodity, but also moral support, showing that the people of Aceh are not facing this disaster alone. Solusi Bangun Andalas will always be there to help Aceh recover quickly,” said R. Adi Santosa.
Sementara itu, Bupati Kabupaten Aceh Tamiang, Irjen Pol (P). Drs.
Among the residents affected by the floods in Aceh, there are a number of journalists in 18 districts/cities in Aceh who have also become victims; their homes have been submerged, their vehicles washed away, and their work equipment damaged. In collaboration with the Indonesian Journalists Association (PWI) of Aceh Province, the Press Company Union (SPS) of Aceh Province, the Online Journalists Association (IWO) of Aceh Region, and the Indonesian Cyber Press (PSI) of Aceh Province, Solusi Bangun Andalas also distributed aid to journalists to help ease their burden while continuing to carry out their duties of delivering information to the public.
The chairman of the Aceh Province PWI, M. Nasir Nurdin, also expressed his appreciation for the assistance provided by Solusi Bangun Andalas to Acehnese journalists and their families who were affected. "Many of our fellow journalists lost their homes and their equipment, but they continued to cover the disaster. They are information warriors, especially at times like this, when the continuity of information is crucial so that all Indonesians can follow the latest developments in the post-disaster situation and provide support for Aceh's recovery," said M. Nasir Nurdin.
In addition to the assistance provided by the Company, solidarity was also shown by employees who are members of the Semen Andalas Workers Union (SPSA). SPSA Chairman Syukurullah Jalil said that this fundraising effort is a form of concern from all Solusi Bangun Andalas, FSP-ISSI, and SPSA partner employees. “Through collaboration between the Company, employees, partners, and local government, we believe that Aceh will rise, become stronger, and strengthen each other,” hoped Syukurullah Jalil.
